A position has arisen to join a growing Technical Support team of a successful recruitment business.

The role is to assist the IT Implementation Manager in day to day IT operations and provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to all Corporate staff, both internally and remotely. RESPONSIBILITIES FOR AN IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN:

  1. Perform troubleshooting with end users via telephone, remote control and in person.
  2. Take ownership of technical problems reported via the support process and see through to a quick resolution.
  3. Install and maintain end user computing equipment i.e desktop, laptop and mobiles.
  4. Create, maintain and update working documents such as asset/license registers, inventory documents and mobile phone lists.
  5. Implementation and application of IT governance at various internal sites.
  6. Assist in creating standard operating process inline with ITIL framework.

KEY & BENEFICIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE FOR AN IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN:

  • Office 365 administration.
  • Exposure to VMware, Citrix and NetApp storage.
  • Experience of day to day administration of Windows server environment i.e Active Directory, group policy, DNS, DHCP, TCPIP 4.
  • Experience of using a Backup solution.
  • Exposure to database system and customer relationship system.
  • Experience of maintaining a telephony system i.e Mitel, Avaya, cisco.
  • Exposure to firewall technology or security appliance.
  • Antivirus solution such as Crowdstrike, Sophos or Kaspersky AV.
  • Exposure Hosted solution such as Citrix XenApp environment.
