Essential Skills/experience required for a 3rd Line /Network Support/ Service Desk Analyst/ Managed service provider Experience ;
Technical requirements
*Knowledge of network environments and concepts such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
*Experience of Windows based administration tools such as Active Directory, Group Policy and SCCM
*Knowledge of Microsoft Server technology and infrastructure platforms including Windows server operating systems (2003/2008/2012), Exchange, SQL, and Citrix
*Knowledge of technical analysis, implementation, configuration, and upgrading of network infrastructure consisting of Cisco network LAN, WAN equipment and Cisco Wireless Infrastructure
*Knowledge of technical analysis, implementation, configuration, and upgrading of virtualised server infrastructure based on VMware vSphere
*Knowledge of technical analysis, implementation, and configuration of NetApp SAN
*Knowledge of cloud-based services and disaster recovery
*An understanding of the Office 365 services and applications. Specifically; Exchange online, SharePoint Online, Azure AD and OneDrive
*Experienced in network administration of Cisco firewalls and HP switches
*Knowledge of 2FA platforms and how they integrate with existing services
*Experience of dealing with email and web filtering systems and appliances
*Understanding of ITIL, including incident management, change management and configuration management
** Any certifications in any of the above-mentioned technologies or systems is highly desirable **
Person specification required for a 3rd Line /Network Support/ Service Desk Analyst/ Managed service provider Experience ;
**Candidates need to have current or previous working experience with Networks in a Service Desk environment for a managed service provider**
*At least two years of experience in a 3rd line/infrastructure/ network support role
*Strong working knowledge and experience with Networks is essential
*Experience with Cisco, routing and switching from a management, admin and support point of view
*Considerable technical problem solving and analytical skills
*Ability to provide analytical, technical, and administrative support in planning, designing, and implementation of information technology hardware, software, and network components
*Approachable, team player, friendly and courteous with a patient and customer focused attitude/ethos, and able to communicate clearly and professionally via email, phone and in person across all levels of the organisation
*Ability to prepare detailed written instructions and documentation, with a high attention to detail
*Excellent communicator, possessing the ability to communicate with staff of all levels, as well as external suppliers
*A willingness to adopt new technologies and make suggestions on how the current catalogue of IT systems and services can be improved
*The ability to quickly learn new operating procedures and maintain established systems
