As an integral member of the Commercial Applications team this role is to provide commercial support to users around the globe by providing swift solutions to the application issues and by maintaining high availability of applications.

We are looking for an individual who likes to exceed customer needs, deliver value and who is skilled at fostering strong relationships. In this role you will:

  • Encompass "pre-sales" applications relating to Creation, Development, Evaluation, Brief Management, bring a functional and technical support with minor coding.

  • Resolve commercial applications incidents and fulfil Service Requests

  • Lead corrective change including design, build, deployment, testing and training

  • Ensure timely ticket resolution

You:

University Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, and at least 1 to 2 years' experience in Applications Support role

ITIL certification - desirable

Excellent written and communication skills in English.

Ability to diagnose system issues based on available system documentation such as Use Cases and Technical designs.

Provide technical specifications to the development team and able to fulfil unit test

Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.

Project management experience is a plus.

Good analytical, written, presentation and communication skills.

Technical Knowledge

  • Hands on Oracle, SQL programming and troubleshooting expertise.
  • J2EE (and Websphere) hands on troubleshooting experience.
  • Datastage/Webmethod understanding.
  • Familiarity with SAP ECC an advantage

The Middleware Java programmer will create Middleware information solutions to process EDI data by developing, implementing and maintaining Java based components and interfaces. This role is a full stack developer role that will call on your Java (server side) and JavaScript (both server side and UI) development skills. We have been advised that it is a relatively even split between the Java and JavaScript aspects. The project focus is on a Java database (SQL) application which provides a web interface/services for smart energy.

This is hands on role with scope to significantly grow your technical skills and opportunity to take on the team lead responsibilities, should you wish to.

Essential Skills

  • At least 5 years server side Java (J2SE & J2EE) development
  • Node.js skills along with React.js (e.g. Flux/Redux) development experience – an interest in React.js is essential for this role
