Job Title Project Manager

Location Knutsford

The Data Technology team within BUK Shared Technology is a global team with c160 colleagues based across Europe and Asia. Data technology supports the Barclays UK and Barclays International business and operations by implementing world class data platforms and technologies, and by managing E2E programmes to meet customer data and analytics needs as well as delivering to regulatory requirements.

As a Project Manager, you'll be accountable for the effective and efficient delivery of data technology projects predominantly to the cards and payments business within Barclays.

What will you be doing?
  • Understanding and articulating the global data target operating model within the team and to stakeholders
  • Defining business benefits of moving business areas to the target operating model
  • Managing cross-functional teams across the UK and India
  • Engaging with the various technical component teams to get commitment on programme deliverables
  • Providing weekly status reporting on project progress
  • Ensuring the project(s) stays on track to deliver against its original and committed objectives
  • Putting in place appropriate communications to provide various levels of stakeholders with project updates as required
  • Financial Management - responsible for confirming actual costs are correct, forecasting cost to completion and ensuring the Cost at Completion does not exceed the Project Budget

Our client is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to join their newly formed service design function within the Technology Design and Delivery Team.

Position: Solutions Architect

Location: Our client is flexible about where you're able to work from, but there's an expectation that you'll have to regularly travel to deliver work as part of projects and meet up with the rest of the team.

Salary: GBP34,643 to GBP37,530 per annum+ Travel Expenses.

This an exciting opportunity for a Solutions Architect to shape and demonstrate how investment in user experiences and solid systems design can provide step change solutions to help save nature through people.

Typical activities in this role will include:

  • Working with user researchers, business analysts and service designers to gather requirements
  • Converting identified requirements into technical specifications
  • Identifying if there are existing solutions that would meet user needs
  • Identifying the best solution stack for developing a product
  • Assessing the impact of new services on existing system infrastructure
  • Directing and overseeing the work of development teams

About you:

As Solutions Architect you will bring with you the following skills and experience:

Either:

  • The ability to demonstrate strategic and leadership competencies, with experience within a similar role.

  • Qualifications as necessary to the role from: Levels 6 or 7 (Masters/Bachelors Degree, NVQ Level 4/5, Postgraduate qualification etc.) - within the Regulated Qualifications Framework (England, Wales & Northern Ireland)
  • Levels 9, 10, 11 (Ordinary/Honours Degree, Post Graduate Qualification, Masters Degree) - within the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework
  • Equivalent level qualifications (including professional accreditation with relevant formal training) Plus experience of personal development in a similar or related role(s).
