Automation Tester
Radbroke Hall, Knutsford


Barclays are hiring a hands on Automation Tester in our Radbroke, Knutsford site within Group Centre Business Area. If this looks of interest, please read on!


What will you be doing?

Create/maintain automated dashboard to support quality view of the application under test 
Execute automated/manual tests as required
Assist Automation Lead in managing day-to-day test Automation activities, such as test monitoring and status reporting at the end of the testing day
Plan for automation suits and execution to against the run plans
High coding standards to support future proving of the framework & test scripts 
Ensure constructive working relationships within team
Execute tests, track and monitor defects to closure
Increase coverage of Automation packs and pass rate in the Release Testing cycle as instructed by the Automation Lead


What we’re looking for:

Experience with Java and other automated testing frameworks. 
Experience in using SQL or other similar Database management systems 
in at least one programming language preferably Java
Hands on Automation experience. E.g. Cucumber, Selenium or Gherkin


Skills that will help you in the role:

Strong experience and knowledge of all testing processes including defect management 
Automated testing /development background
Experience using AWS
Experience using SeeTest or similar Automation Technologies

Market Risk Technology Business Analyst

We have a brand new opportunity available for a Market Risk Technology Business Analyst within our Risk, Finance and Treasury Technology team in Glasgow. This dedicated function is accountable for the delivery of business change and technology transformations for Risk, Finance and Treasury Functions globally, working in partnership with our business customers to develop and implement long term strategic IT solutions to help achieve Barclays’ strategic goals. Combined with this, they also support over 450 applications and a user base of 7,000+ staff across all Business Units, legal entities and major geographic hubs.


What will you be doing?


• Provide support to the Lead Business Analyst, helping to define analysis approach in line with the strategic vision of the programme and the preferred methodology of the organisation.
• Articulate and present commercial effectiveness of requirement proposals within a project or initiative.
• Face off to one or many business areas/SME's understanding high level requirements and challenging where necessary.
• Work independently to elicit, validate and document systems requirements in either BRDs or user/feature stories depending on the SDLC in use by the development teams.
• Participation in the Design process coordinated by the Programme Management team, from Design approval to functional design completion – help to ensure the functionality/benefits envisaged are delivered.
• Support the Testing Strategy and input into the coverage of Test scenarios and conditions ensuring all requirements in scope are tested.
• Where applicable, during testing own the resolution of defects pertaining to requirement and design working with test teams and SMEs.
• Where applicable work with functional or business areas and SMEs to plan migrations of users and or transactions.


What we’re looking for:


• Knowledge of a specialist area to be credible with business users and SMEs. Is still developing SME knowledge in a number of areas
• Some understanding of project methodologies and their application within the organisation's project methodology
• Risk domain knowledge – E.g. VaR, Sensitivities, Stress Testing & Greeks concepts
• Experience of preparing and issuing a range of key business analysis deliverables E.g. Requirements Documentation
• Experience of communicating with a wide array of people including experience of stakeholder management at various levels E.g. AVP, VP, D, MD etc
• Experience of some of the underpinning frameworks and tools for business analysis documentation e.g. UML / BPMN
• Experience of Data Analysis E.g. Working with big datasets, creating simple/medium SQL queries, confident Excel user


Skills that will help you in the role:


• Excellent communication skills - including the ability to convey information to non-technical colleagues in a concise and clear way
• Strong stakeholder management, able to communicate at all levels and build sustainable relationships
• Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task in a highly pressurised support environment
• Able to work within a high performing team and contribute to overall objectives/best practice


Where will you be working?


This role will be based in the Aurora Building, 1 of our 3 modern City Centre locations until our
exciting new campus location overlooking the River Clyde is opened in late 2020. Aurora is close to the main stations, other transport links and also benefits from an onsite canteen.

Job Title PMO

Location Knutsford

BUK Portfolio Management Office (BUK PMO) is a central function within the BUK Technology organisation; it provides central standards, methods, and tooling with governance and oversight of the total project portfolio reporting across BUK senior management and to BUK Exco and Group.

As a PMO, you'll be providing support to the BUK PMO Director, helping to continuously manage and evolve PMO processes, providing tactical and strategic data analysis to influence decision making and drive the execution of PMO Transformation projects.

What will you be doing?
  • Defining and implementing the end to end solution to successfully migrate the Change Portfolio data set from our internal Change reporting tool to the Group tool
  • Acting as the migration lead for BUK ensuring a seamless experience throughout the migration
  • Utilising required toolsets to provide tactical and strategic analysis to define and quantify opportunities/risks and influence short and long-term BUK Change decision-making
  • Ownership of key strategic initiatives on behalf of the BUK PMO Director, with defined tracking to ensure effective delivery
  • Building great relationships and influencing a network of key stakeholders to align on shared goals
  • Reviewing processes, data sets and requirements, on a regular basis, to identify areas for improvement and drive through the necessary changes
What we're looking for:
  • Strong PMO background with experience of working within a regulated environment
  • Strong MI skills with the ability to use Excel to an advance level with knowledge of SQL
  • Familiarity of working with Data
  • Stakeholder management as you'll be communicating across all levels across the organisation
Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Experience of Navigator would be highly advantageous
  • Data Visualisation and Qlikview experience preferred
