An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading UK professional services organisation. Joining a small team, working as an IT Infrastructure & Applications Manager in excellent corporate surroundings.

The role involves the management of 3 IT Support individuals, and working with the outsourced managed service provider. Ensuring the infrastructure is running smoothly, ready for growth, and architected in the best interests of the firm. You'll also be working with them in accordance to the vendor support matrix. Additionally, you'll be working with the Support individuals to make sure all Legal Applications are up to date and interdependencies checked accordingly.

As the IT Infrastructure & Applications Manager, you will be:

- Responsible for Data Centre Infrastructure, Security and IT services across multiple offices, facilitating stable delivery of IT services

- Ensuring all Infrastructure and Legal Applications are updated in accordance to vendor releases and security

- Working with the Head of IT, supporting the selection of Hardware, Software and support providers, including assisting with infrastructure strategy and design

- Ensuring there are Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity procedures in place, and continually reviewed and tested

- Keeping up to date with the world of IT, possibly using your knowledge to implement new ideas and strategies

Senior Service Desk Analyst - 6 months FTC - London

£25,000 for the 6 month duration (£50k prorata)


Working with a well-known and public-facing organisation of circa 600 IT users, you'll be part of a small team supporting their users and resolving issues (up to 2nd line). You will be working with a small and friendly team of very capable people who place considerable value on personal and career development.

Core responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd Line support as well as support projects (SharePoint migrations, implementation of asset management solution, process creation and a host of audit findings around security and networks)
- Ensuring that issues are being resolved in accordance to SLA's
- Collaborate with 3rd parties when required, ensuring all problems are dealt with swiftly
- Receive and manage calls from internal staff via telephone, email and web portal when required

  • Take ownership of user problems, follow up the status of problems on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely manner and escalate when necessary (they have 3rd Line support in a different location)



Personal requirements:
- Previous experience working in a 2nd line role or higher
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server based Infrastructure
- Experience with Windows 10, Office 365, Active Directory and Citrix
- Any networking knowledge would be highly advantageous
- Possess a positive can-do attitude and be able to communicate with users of all different technical levels
- Previous experience in the transport industry would be beneficial however not mandatory

Their opening hours are between 8am - 6pm, you will be required to work shifts between these hours (to be agreed with the rest of the team). You will also be required to be on call one in every six weeks.

This is an exciting opportunity where the successful Infrastructure Engineer /Data Storage Specialist will be working in a vibrant London based office. The company have a very relaxed environment making this a fantastic place to work!

They are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer /Data Storage Specialist with good knowledge of storage technologies; you must have Dell Equilogic configuration and support experience, and you  must also be able to create, manage and have strong transfer knowledge.

The Infrastructure Engineer/Data Storage Specialist will also have a solid understanding of all Windows Server up to 2016 including very good storage experience.

The Infrastructure Engineer/Data Storage Specialist will also have to be able to provide technical designs, recommend the best approach for storage solutions and have a very good understanding of 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support.

The Infrastructure Engineer/Data Storage Specialist will also have Knowledge of general SAN technologies and knowledge of clustering and failover for storage and design principles on this.

Overview
  • As part of the role you will be working in a hands-on environment.
  • You will be working within a current team of infrastructure engineers predominately managing onsite infrastructure, so having great communication skills are essential. There will also be some datacentre work involved.
