I am looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join this digital marketplace based in London. The company have built a digital marketplace which allows independent and boutique stores across the UK sell specialised items to consumers. They have a very user friendly interface and have recently won a number of awards (UK's top 5 start-up, Emerging retailer of the year etc)

The company:

This company were formed in 2015 and have recognised a niche within the digital marketplace industry. They enable small boutique stores sell specialised items and get exposure to their targeted consumer base, helping 1000s of UK businesses grow and be successful. They place data at the heart of every decision made within the company, and this has lead to them building a data team of 5 people (data engineers, data analysts/scientists). Their infrastructure is built within AWS using a PostgreSQL database, and everything is custom built in Python.

The role:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will:

  • Contribute and influence the data platform - although an infrastructure is in place within AWS, there is a still a lot of data engineering work to be done.
  • Built custom built data applications in Python from scratch.
  • Contribute to scaling and enhancing the current data infrastructure.

Your Skills and Experiences:

  • Have extensive experience in Python, building things from scratch.
  • Have experience working within an AWS infrastructure.
  • Have experience working with both relational and non-relational databases.
