As well as having a positive impact on a large-scale problem, their product is also making a real difference to their customers, helping them to save money at the same time. Their product has been so successful, experiencing a 40% in sales in 2019, that they are now looking for a Senior PHP Developer to help develop their product further so that it can be scaled efficiently.

As Back End Developer you will continue to develop their ground-breaking product, contributing to their customer-facing systems and helping with API development. You will ensure that the code is secure and delivered to a high standard. Working in a collaborative team of passionate developers you will also be an advocate for driving the best practices going forward and mentoring junior members of the team.

Requirements:

  • Extensive commercial experience as a PHP Developer
  • Worked with PHP frameworks, Laravel, Symfony etc
  • Experience building unit and regression tests
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and/or MySQL
  • A strong understanding of Docker / Kubernetes beneficial

Role & Responsibilities of the DevOps Engineer:
·Build and configure cloud configuration on AWS including installing and configuring new environments using automated tools.
·Automated management of all server components using Puppet, Packet, Ruby, Docker, Terraform
·Support the software delivery process by identifying and providing appropriate pre-production environments.
·Manage all code deployments and infrastructure changes to control environments in a controlled auditable manner.
·Liaise with 3rd party vendors, hosting services and licence providers.
·Ensure robust Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Managements processes are in place and tested to make sure applications are fit for purpose.

Essential Skills & Experience:
·Excellent experience of Docker and Kubernetes

·Scripting & coding experience, ideally with either Ruby or Python
