Both full-time and part-time applications will be considered. This is an unsalaried teacher training, but you might qualify for the government tax-free bursary/scholarship.
Teacher Training Course (SCITT):
Aston Education works in partnership with this outstanding secondary academy and a large multi-academy trust who run their own bespoke teacher training course. It is led by their outstanding schools and accredited by Goldsmiths, University of London, who award the Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
Throughout the course, you’ll receive individual support and mentoring from their teachers of excellence.

About the Computing Department:
The academy’s Computing department is thriving, and their results have been steadily increasing.
The Computing department aims to inspire and nurture the use of technology, in their well-resourced department, through engaging and challenging curriculum.
They cover a broad range of ICT and Computing topics at Key Stage 3, preparing students to take GCSE Computing and/or Information Technologies at Key Stage 4. Students can then opt to study Computing at A-Level, or Cambridge Technical in IT at Key Stage 5.
The successful Trainee Teacher will:
- Hold a minimum of a 2:2 degree in Computer Science
- Have a GCSE Grade C (4) in Mathematics and English Language
- Be passionate about Computer Science teaching and have the desire to make a positive difference to the lives of the young people
- Have the presence and character to relate to the students at this school
- In time, be able to design and deliver engaging and purposeful Computer Science lessons to whole classes
This role is easily accessible from the East Sussex and West Sussex areas such as Brighton, Hove, Worthing, Chichester, Horsham and Crawley.
