We are excited to be recruiting to our new IT Team based in Enfield. You will provide first and second line IT support and systems administration for the Association, support staff with hardware and software troubleshooting, research, diagnose and troubleshoot in order to identify solutions to resolve system issues as well playing a part in IT projects across the Association.

 

2020 is an exciting time to join Christian Action and be part of this small but vital team with the opportunity to learn and work on different projects.

 

 What we’re looking for:

  • Exposure to VMware vCenter  6.5/6.7, Esxi 6.5/6.7 exposure, SRM 8.1
  • Share/ntfs permissions implementation skills
  • GPO administration and implementation
  • Networking skills, routers, switches, vlans and other networking aspects.
  • Great customer service skills and plenty of patience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

We are now seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join us in Sheffield and play a key role in the design and delivery of SCADA/Telemetry or control systems.

As the Senior Design Engineer, you will:

- Act as a leader for Project Teams for the implementation and delivery of our systems
- Provide guidance to project teams
- Take part in all aspects of the project lifecycle
- Complete system design activities
- Configure and implement systems
- Take part in testing and commissioning systems on site
- Prepare documentation including functional specifications and test specifications

Interested?

To be considered as the Senior Design Engineer, you will need:

- Previous IT experience in a similar design engineering role
- Knowledge of Linux server setup and admin
- Experience of hardware and software implementation
- Experience of SQL
- Experience of Java

Experience of performing in a software-based business role is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of RTU and PLC equipment would also be beneficial to your application, as would experience with PostgreSQL.
