Work pattern:  Shift Rota; 12 hr shifts inc breaks, 4 weeks days 4 weeks nights, 7 shifts worked a fortnight, 24/7/365 service

 

Our client is looking for a Supervisor to join their Coventry based Concierge team. Delivering an excellent service to their customers by proactively monitoring CCTV, managing access control to buildings, dealing professionally with enquiries and conducting site visits to nominated locations are key elements of the role. You will support the effective delivery of services by leading and managing staff, prioritising tasks, ensuring a focus on excellent customer service and promoting a culture of professionalism, quality and safety.

 

The successful individual will have leadership and motivational skills to build team ethos, maintain and develop standards and lead and promote a quality culture. Initiative and judgement are required for incident handling, progressing complex issues and supporting the active management of a rota. A positive attitude and a solution focussed approach is essential. The role requires a very strong commitment to excellent customer service in all activities. Having the right approach to promoting this and dealing with customers politely and professionally and having a commitment to continually improve service is important. You will have excellent verbal communication skills to enable effective liaison with tenants, colleagues and outside agencies. You will be responsible for ensuring the staff you manage and the resources available to you are focussed on keeping their people and buildings safe and achieving positive outcomes in a manner that is compliant, effective and efficient. You will need to assess and deal with emergency situations and incidents and call out the appropriate personnel and where necessary help make the situation safe. This may require the management of an incident until others can take over. You will always be expected to promote and champion safety and safe working.

 

For this role you will need to be a competent IT user, have a full UK driving licence and be willing to fulfil a range of tasks including some outdoors. Physically able to undertake the walking of stairs in high rise buildings you will also be expected to undertake some lifting, pushing etc. To be successful you will need to have the aptitude to utilise CCTV and Door Entry systems with the willingness to acquire additional skills and train and support others. You will be expected to take personal responsibility, stay current with matters affecting the organisation, service and the team and communicate these effectively.  You will also need to support wider Neighbourhoods Team and Partnership initiatives and customer interactions.
