Front End Developer

Birmingham

£35,000 to £40,000

I am currently recruiting for a business based in Birmingham city centre who are looking to add a talented front end developer to their well established software team. The successful candidate will need to be proficient with Vue.js.

In addition to ongoing developments and new features, the client I am working with is currently in the process of updating legacy elements of the Case Manager technology base as we upgrade and modernise the developed proprietary framework upon which the system is built.

After a period of technical investigation, outline design and proof of concept development the following technologies have been selected to form the core components of the revised Case Manager Framework:

  • Vue.js for construction of the client-side user interface, compatible with the current versions of all major web browsers, including Internet Explorer 11
  • HTML5 and JavaScript capabilities of web browsers for managing the interaction between client and server, including async/await and the service worker API, potentially with options for background synchronisation to allow for offline working
  • Mobile devices are to be supported wherever possible through the main browser interface, without needing to resort to installed mobile applications

In order to complete the above an experienced front end developer with a broad experience and specific expertise in Vue.js.

Required skills

  • Highly proficient with the JavaScript language and its modern ES6+ syntax and features, HTML5, and CSS
  • Highly proficient with Vue.js framework and its core principles such as components, reactivity, and the virtual DOM
  • Familiarity with the Vue.js ecosystem, including Vue CLI, Vuex, Vue Router, and Nuxt.js
