Your new role
Manage the Data Centre (main and local) environments to ensure no unplanned unavailability
Manage the physical access security to mission critical Data Centre environments
Ensure best value exploitation, management and maintenance of hardware, software and Data Centre environment assets
Ensure operational best practice Data Centre management to reduce operating costs, and ensure optimal utilisation of assets
Ensure services are operating within agreed SLA / OLA framework
Managing the end to end process for best practice asset lifecycle management.
Ensure all IT Infrastructure conforms to the minimum requirements as defined in the Security Manual and in accordance with ISO27001.

Experience needed
1 years' experience of working within an IT environment with a proven track record of delivering sustainable performance against challenging business targets
Knowledge of Data Centres, Computer Rooms and their environments
Clear understanding of the ITIL principles
An advanced understanding of Incident Management principles
Can use incident logging tools and work to SLA's
Has Knowledge of install/move/decommissioning processes within a Data Centre environment
Has Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
Has knowledge of file data management
Has working knowledge of Data Centre Virtualization (VMWARE)
Has Working knowledge of windows server 2012 / 2016
Ability to monitor service continuity plans and liaise with other teams to ensure they are up to date
