IT Developement Analyst - Centre of Nottingham - Permanent - upto £21000 plus bonus

My retained client seeks to recruit a Junior IT Support Assistant for their small busy department. The role would suit a College/Graduate who wants a career in IT.

The role will include the following:

IT Developer/Analyst

The role may suit a new graduate or a person who likes to be involved in a wide range of IT areas, including database, server & network management, data extracts and reporting, and web-site design/maintenance.

Of particular benefit would be knowledge and experience of SQL Server administration, SSIS extracts & Microsoft SSRS and Microsoft Access.

For the web-site, knowledge of classic ASP, C#.NET, Bootsrap.js, XML & SOAP web services would be advantageous. Not essential.

Other areas of work, depending on experience, could include administering Active Directory and Office 365, as well as firewall, security and DNS management.

An ability to communicate clearly is essential as the role will involve communication with all levels within the business as well as external clients.

Hours 37.5 p/w - some flexibility will be required.

Essential requirements:

Microsoft office skills - Outlook, Excel, Word, Access

Extremely organised.

Able to prioritise a changing to do list.

Excellent attention to detail.

Able to use own initiative.

Good communication skills

Interest / Experience with Computers

Comfortable working both individually and as part of a team

Reporting to the IT Systems Manager, you will be responsible for 1st / 2nd line IT and network support tasks -primarily within the company and occasionally to end users/customers. This role is very hands-on so you will need proven experience providing 1st and 2nd line support working in a small-to-medium sized company (SME organisation).
