It’s an amazing time to join a company with incredible potential to improve the lives of many millions of people globally.Their developers are creating advanced computational tools and applying them to solve real-world biological problems.They are seeking to add a junior software developer to the team in their research lab. This role would suit an engineer who has just completed their PhD in a relevant area.
Role and Responsibilities of Software Developer:
·You will be exploring hardware and software in the company’s research lab
·This will involve camera systems, fluorescent imaging and possibly laboratory information management and automation
·You need to be able to design and combine off-the-shelf hardware elements and write the software to complete the whole system, under the supervision and support of the team’s senior engineers
Requirements of Software Developer:
·Would suit an engineer who has just completed their PhD in a relevant area
·Demonstrated knowledge of core technologies including .net platform (full framework or .net core), F#, C# or R, UI experience (WPF, MVVM, Reactive), Visual Studio
·Experience of working in an agile development environment
·Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines
·Strong orientation to team work
·Ability to handle pressure, complex situations and problem-solving
·Ability to think analytically and strategically
Further Desirable Experience
·A background in multivariate statistics or robotics
·Databases - SQL and event-sourcing
·Web- Azure / AWS
