My client is a small, dynamic and highly successful shipping consultancy business. Over the past few years we have modernised and expanded our online econometric modelling platform, which is used by a majority of finance providers in the global shipping sector for investment/market risk analysis.
My client is looking for a highly motivated full-stack developer with experience in web based, database-driven user applications in .NET / C#, and a particular focus on front-end development. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to use their skills in building industry-leading products at the forefront of shipping market analysis, financial models and forecasting.
The role will include:
- Enhancing and expanding the product range accessed through the existing online market modelling platforms
- Creating tools to support the analytic work undertaken by staff for our subscription and consultancy services
The successful individual will work with a small team with strong backgrounds in both IT and shipping and will play a pivotal role in a challenging, yet rewarding, environment. Required Experience:
- TDD, BDD and experience of deploying continuously to production.
- Designing and developing systems for high availability and scalability.
- Setting and raising engineering standards across your team and wider engineering organisation.
- Experience of operating in the cloud would be a huge plus.
- Experience of working in Agile Environments (Scrum / Kanban).
