Job Title: Capital, Control and Operations Big Data Architect
Location: London

Capital, Control and Operations (CCO) is transforming the way Deutsche Bank distributes and uses data by providing tools and standards that enable us to understand sources and consumers of data and its quality.
You will work within the CCO architecture team, providing overarching guidance to the CCO development team in the exploitation of Big Data technologies. You will be the team’s key subject matter expert in Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Impala and other related big data technologies. You will have the opportunity to leverage and enhance your skills in agile techniques and DevOps culture including use of Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery, Test Automation, Infrastructure as Code and automated pipelines to production.

Your key responsibilities
- Architecture and design of key components of the CCO architecture including our consumer views component which enables direct query of standardised datasets for tenants of our Hadoop platform
- Contribute to and drive key parts of the CCO architecture strategy and vision
- Advice and guidance to development teams in building CCO components including the construction of prototypes and actively supporting architectural spikes
- Main point of contact between CCO and the Enterprise Analytics Platform team to enable integration of CCO standards into the Bank’s Hadoop platform
- Balances stakeholder concerns to deliver optimal solutions
Your skills and experience
- In depth knowledge of Hadoop (in particular the Cloudera stack) and related technologies including Hive, Impala, Spark
- Experience in Information Technology (IT) delivery and architecture, application design and programming in a large enterprise working on mission-critical IT systems
- Previous experience working as an architect in an agile team, Scaled Agile Framework would be beneficial
- Financial Services experience is beneficial
- Knowledge of big data analytics, data science, Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning is beneficial
