JOB SCOPE

• Work within the Data & Systems team as a software developer.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of a number of internal systems. The primary languages and environments used are; Visual Studio, MS-SQL, VBA, C#, MVC, HTML, JavaScript.
• Assist with the development of new systems to meet the requirements of the Company’s objectives
• Carry out tasks as part of a project team or on an individual basis.
• Quickly develop a strong operational knowledge of the Company and be able to effectively communicate with staff at all levels.
• Provide cover as a technical resource and have the ability to help and train end users.

• Provides training and support to colleagues across all business areas regarding in-house applications
• Help develop in-house applications
• Communicates with colleagues to ensure the effective operation of the market area

KNOWLEDGE & SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS

• Have extensive experience with development tools and languages including MVC, C#, MS-SQL, HTML, Visual Studio, JavaScript.
• Be a logical thinker and problem solver.
• Have excellent organisational skills.
• Be highly numerate and able to manipulate raw data.
• Show a desire to acquire further applicable skills through research and training.
• Any knowledge of Autoline (Dealer Management System) would be an advantage, as would any other experience of working in the Motor Industry.

You will be working with a Global leader within the financial services world, operating in over 30 countries. With dual headquarters in Manchester and New York, they have recently opened an office in Manchester, which is set to increase its headcount by 50% this year.

Your new role
As a Data Analyst, you will be working closely with the COO, other data analysts and researchers to provide high-quality, in-depth strategic analysis to drive decisions and develop business cases for new initiatives, whilst producing recommendations toward process improvements. You will be working in a fast paced environment and work towards short, medium and long term deliverables. Some responsibilities include:

• Support and maintain the collection of data from core databases using SQL
• Compiling monthly senior management reports using Excel, SQL
• Visualising data using BI applications such as Qlik, PowerBI etc
• Compile and assist with analysis of data from multiple internal and external data sources
• Ability to manipulate data

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience of working within a data position
