Cloud Engineer - Azure - Glasgow or Edinburgh

Cloud Infrastructure Engineer required to join an established IT Consultancy based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. The initial projects will be based in Edinburgh.

Joining the Cloud Services Team, you will be responsible for the support life-cycle of Enterprise level infrastructure platforms for a steady number of Managed Service clients. On top of this you will work to implement cloud-based solutions predominantly across Azure, whilst managing the cloud environment and providing 3rd line Infrastructure Support.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Cloud Solutions / Technologies and emerging trends within the IT world, with an ability to put this into practice and deliver first class support. Key Responsibilities

** Providing Azure migration support alongside wider consultancy team.

** Managing multiple Cloud Environments across wide client base

** Servicing of Cloud Platform such as IAAS / PAAS / SAAS / O365 Online on a daily basis

** Tasked with the entire management of multiple clients including Security and Cost reporting

** 3rd line Infrastructure Support

** 3rd party vendor and stakeholder management

Key Skills and Experience

** Cloud: Azure Virtual Machines / Azure Virtual Networks / Azure Active Directory / Azure Site Recovery / Azure Backup / Azure Storage / Azure ExpressRoute.

** Virtualisation: Hyper-V / VMWare experience

** PowerShell scripting experience

** LAN / WAN Knowledge / Site-to-Site VPN

** Firewall / Security Groups / IAM protocol knowledge

** Windows Server 2008/2012/2016

** Experience with Linux technologies would be an advantage

** AWS and Azure Certifications would be a bonus too - However, there will be plenty of opportunity to obtain new certs.
