£35,000 - £45,000 Negotiable

My Client is looking for a Full Stack Developer with an emphasis on Laravel including PHP, JavaScript, HTML, MySQL - Based in Manchester City Centre.

As the Full Stack Developer (PHP, JavaScript, HTML, MySQL) you will have an integral role to define the future technology roadmap.  This will give you ownership of key projects and a voice in determining the most appropriate technology to use.  In doing so you'll grow your own knowledge and experience of the best technologies available while building the foundation for the future of this business.

This role will give you the opportunity to take a lead in a team of Developers.  You aren’t required to have leadership experience previously; it is more important that you have the ability to remain hands on with technology

Full Stack Developer role requirements:

• Strong commercial experience in a similar role utilising OO PHP, MySQL, HTML5 and CSS3
• Any experience taking the lead role in a team would be a bonus
• Previous experience working in an agency environment or managing multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment would highly desirable
• Any experience in the following will be highly beneficial; REDIS, SASS, LESS, Grunt, Composer, CryptoJS, jQuery, NodeJS, AngularJS, CryptoJS
• Laravel

This is founded on the Java technology stack, Web Frameworks (Struts, Tapestry, AngularJS) alongside many supporting internal and external services. It can be provided to clients on a hosted or On-Premise basis.

Business Function

Equiniti Credit Services develops market leading applications for the finance industry. The company employs highly experienced staff most of whom have extensive knowledge of both the finance industry and the technologies required to deliver effective, modern software solutions.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

• Interact with product management, project management and SCRUM development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives, including participating internal sprint planning and reviews, daily stand-ups.
• Design and create test conditions and scripts to address business and technical use cases.
• Oversee scheduled and ad-hoc functional and regression testing of new and existing core functionality to ensure high quality standard are achieved at all times for all software releases.
• Running automated/Manual Tests.
• Clear reporting of the testing status through test execution.
• Maintenance of Testing script checklist to ensure this is consistent with new or changed functionality as part of a software release to support the testing activity.
• Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using YouTrack or similar tools/means.
• Performing End-to-End system, regression and UAT.

Skills, Capabilities and Attributes

• Excellent knowledge of API Testing.
• Experience of working within agile SDLC processes, including TDD/BDD.
• Write and execute Manual/automation test scripts.
• Clear understanding and experience of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Testing (CT) approaches.
• Work collaboratively as part of an Agile Scrum team.
• Interact with product owners, project management and SCRUM development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives.
• Clear reporting of the testing status through test execution.
• Proven ability to create, plan and execute appropriate test plans for all types of change.
• Finance sector experience would be preferred and extremely advantageous, particularly UK consumer lending.
• Database skills, mainly in SQL Server.
• Must be flexible, independent and self-motivated.
