We here at Parity have an amazing opportunity for a highly skilled Senior Developer to join our major higher education client on a 36-month interim in Leeds.

Skills/Experience

• Extensive experience of application development using C#, ASP.Net and Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience of effectively designing technical solutions to meet requirements specifications
• Experience of writing system documentation including functional and system design specifications
• Experience of developing and implementing test plans as part of system development
• Experience of directing the work of one or more developers to meet project requirements and timelines; distributing work appropriately, monitoring and managing progress effectively and providing clear reports on progress
• An ability to explain technical problems in non-technical language
• Strong initiative, with excellent organisational, planning and self-management skills, including the ability to work accurately and carefully, manage and complete projects to deadlines and deliver high quality work
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including written and presentational, with the ability to work and engage with a diverse range of collaborators/stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience of the DevExpress ASP.NET control suite
• Experience of using Microsoft Azure DevOps/ Team Foundation Server for version control of code
• Experience of SQL Server Reporting Services
• Experience supporting applications developed in VB.NET
• Knowledge of MACRO clinical trial database software
• Knowledge of ITIL principles or an ITIL Qualification
• Experience working in a regulated environment with sensitive personal medical data.

Position Summary:

Work will be primarily be focused on our Cloud POS EPOS product and our eCommerce solution. We are working to re-architect the ecommerce software, and improve the architecture, scalability and reliability of the Cloud POS platform.

Responsibilities:

* Developing industry leading solutions together with your team;

* Write software which is thoroughly tested and adheres to our code review standards;

* Ensure all work follows company standards and is properly managed thru our JIRA issue management platform;

* Work closely with your team and other development teams as well as QA engineers, product and project managers;

* The ability to work well in a team as well as independently on individual projects and challenges;

* Attention to best practices, quality and detail, and a personal drive to deliver great results.

Job Qualifications

Web development experience essential:

* Microsoft .Net

* C# experience,

* General understanding of UX best practices, HTML, CSS, jQuery, and AJAX

Knowledge of the following useful:
