An experienced UX/UI Designer is required by one of the UK's leading Fintech App companies to join their London team. Since launch their App has become an industry leader and featured on the App Store as well as the press.
You will be responsible for leading the design function to deliver an outstanding product, growing the design team and ensuring the product is designed to be intuitive, fun and rewarding. The right candidates will be able to execute the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation through to high-fidelity prototyping, bringing in strong UX, UI and visual design experience.
 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own the design process and continuously improve it to maximise quality and efficiency
  • Design product features to ensure users having a captivating and satisfying experience
  • Create sketches, prototypes, wireframes, user flows and UI interactions for the app as well as mobile and desktop web.
  • Effective user testing, using results to shape product decisions
  • Communicate and advocate for product design within the wider team • Build and grow the design team, leading and managing by example
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
  • 4yrs+ UX/UI experience (commercial experience) 
  • Experience leading the design direction of a product or website
  • A portfolio that showcases strategic problem solving and successful, user-centric products
  • Experience Working on/with data Visualisation
  • You are a master of HTML or CSS
  • Sketch, Figma, InVision, Principle/Framer or similar software tools experience
  • Experience of working with developers on design implementation
  • Ability to talk through design decisions with stakeholders, showing methods behind your ideas and prepared to defend them tactfully

  • Document new processes, new tools and new functionality. Train other team members on these where required.
  • Change Management (writing change procedure for deploying to the production environment). Scripting (shell/SQL) to deploy changes onto Unix/oracle environment.
  • Provide work effort estimates for new Projects and Change Requests
  • Review and refine changes to ensure accuracy and minimise all possible risk
  • Provide out of hours support on a rota basis for team changes
 
You will have the following skills:
 
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL – ability to develop complex SQL queries
  • Windows scripting knowledge or programming languages (Java, HTML, XML).
  • Experience of Windows server and client operating systems.
  • First class communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Server and software diagnostic skills.
  • Logical methodology to problem solving.
