SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

Salary £35,000 - £38,500 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.

This is an exciting and challenging role, supporting the growing needs of the IT Department and College as a whole. You would be working within a team of seven others, each with their own diverse skills and responsibilities.

This role’s primary responsibility will be to maintain and improve the essential system infrastructure of networking, servers and storage. The College has just begun a large project to overhaul its networking across the entire estate, and to replace all of its wired and wireless networking equipment. You would be expected to take this project on and see it to its conclusion over the next two years.

You will ideally hold relevant IT qualifications, but most importantly, you will have excellent technical abilities and understanding of a range of IT systems, strong communication skills and a desire to deliver the highest possible standards of service. You would be expected to research new technologies and suggest new and alternative ways to improve IT services.

The salary for this full-time position will be commensurate with skills and experience. We offer a generous benefits package including 25 days annual leave and a pension scheme, all set within a historical and inspiring environment.
