My client based in London are looking for a .Net Developer to assist a team of 8 in designing, developing, delivering and supporting the applications as identified by the business and contribute to the continued improvement in applications used to access and analyse data.

If you're a developer who wants to work for a big brand, which is well established who operate in a relaxed manner and who offer flexible working then read on.

Developers who wants little interaction with the team and business this isn't for you. In this role you will be dealing directly with stakeholders in consultative manner.

Key Activities

Development of modern Microsoft ASP.net based websites and SQL databases, utilising C#, .NET Core, MVC, Web API, Razor Pages, JavaScript, Entity Framework.

Maintenance and enhancement of existing applications.

Integration with 3rd party applications and data sets.

Participate in code reviews - with a focus on simple, straight-forward code.

Liaise with users to gather requirements and feedback.

Assist in project communications and documentation.

Prior experience of web development using relevant Microsoft technologies Full Stack experience would be beneficial

Prior experience of the following software:

  • C#, ASP.net (.NET Core, MVC, Web API, Razor Pages, Entity Framework) o Azure Active Directory, SQL Server, Azure SQL, SharePoint Online

o Power BI

o JavaScript, HTML and CSS

Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst Developer - Power BI, SQL, ETL - Cambridge to £50,000

As the Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst / Developer you work across the full business intelligence suite, providing end to end business intelligence solutions as well as working with Power BI and other leading BI platforms, creating dashboards to empower the end user. You will understand the database systems in use and know how to manipulate data and generate insight and information.

The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst / Developer will need to be comfortable working with some of my client's key customers to understand their goals, support solution roll-out and identify requirements to feed into their product Roadmap. You have a commercial awareness and an interest in the Business value delivered by effective Business Intelligence, and you will have an interest in the capability to apply predictive techniques / machine learning to data.
The successful candidate will be degree educated - Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Statistics or equivalent and will demonstrate the following core skills and experience:

* Experience with any leading Business Intelligence platforms
* Experience with Power BI would be highly desirable
* Strong data analysis skills using SQL
* ETL processes including knowledge of data warehousing strategies and theories
* Experience with Data pipelines and ETL tools
* RDBMS skills
* An understanding Dimensional modelling in integrated data sets or DWH
* MySQL, PostGres and Mongo data experience.
* Experience working in an agile environment
* Proactive interest in the BI best practice and latest techniques and approaches.

Experience with any of the following will be a distinct advantage:
* AWS services and tools like Glue, Data Migration Service, Quicksight, Redshift, DynamoDB and Aurora.
* Python

Core Duties/Responsibilities

  • Interact with product management, project management and SCRUM development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives, including participating internal sprint planning and reviews, daily stand-ups.
  • Design and create test conditions and scripts to address business and technical use cases.
  • Oversee scheduled and ad-hoc functional and regression testing of new and existing core functionality to ensure high quality standard are achieved at all times for all software releases.
  • Running automated/Manual Tests.
  • Clear reporting of the testing status through test execution.
  • Maintenance of Testing script checklist to ensure this is consistent with new or changed functionality as part of a software release to support the testing activity.
  • Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using YouTrack or similar tools/means.
  • Performing End-to-End system, regression and UAT.

Skills, Capabilities and Attributes

  • Experience of working within agile SDLC processes, including TDD/BDD.
  • Write and execute Manual/automation test scripts.
  • Clear understanding and experience of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Testing (CT) approaches.

  • Clear reporting of the testing status through test execution.
