OVERVIEW

As a Software Developer, you will have a sound knowledge of all things DevOps to help design, document, build, maintain and improve the customer application estate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Software Developer your key duties will include:

• Ensuring the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of applications whilst negating bottlenecks and bugs whilst maintaining code quality
• Building and delivering against integration plans to ensure multiple systems can interface in a seamless way
• Translating complex development requirements and information into language that can be easily understood
• Managing and developing a productive and efficient relationship with the contract development teams
• Planning and communicating key characteristics, design points and milestones for full integration cycles
• Troubleshooting and providing ongoing support relating to database matters that may be raised through the help desk
• Communicating with a variety of people to help deliver suitable and robust solutions

REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for the role of Software Developer, you must have:

• Experience delivering using continuous delivery and cloud solutions
• An in-depth knowledge of JS (client and server-side) and SQL development
• A sound understanding of AWS, source-code management protocols, PowerShell, and Network security/protocols
• Experience of designing and developing complex web applications
• Experience developing API and web services

• Providing technical web and digital expertise to assist in the development and implementation of their digital strategy
• Actively working on CMS platform improvements, new integrations and scheduled product maintenance
• Working with internal stakeholders to ensure that back-end systems, i.e. CRM, CMS, Customer support tools, are functioning efficiently
• Liaising with 3rd party software providers for the effective implementation of new features

On the technical side your VMware experience will come to the fore and we're also looking to tap into your Azure knowledge, particularly around security, though full training will be given here. You'll also be able to use your SQL Server admin skills.

The key with the above technologies is being able to plan and design deployments, and have the ability to engage stakeholders to implement your ideas. You'll get involved with budgeting and roadmapping.
