Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, implement and test embedded software, from machine interfaces to human interfaces, across the range of products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, development and test of embedded software
  • Taking part in reviews, contributing or suggesting optimisations or structure strategies as required

Skills and Qualifications:

What are we looking for?

  • Significant previous experience with embedded C, C++.
  • Experience of developing real time embedded software using an object oriented approach.
  • Ability to debug complex problems.

  • Experience in the development of maintainable and extensible code.


Desirable / Advantageous:

ROLE

  • The role of the Software Engineer is to design, code, configure and commission control systems for client projects. An understanding of networking would be an advantage. Key duties and responsibilities include:
    • * Development of safety control systems using the highly object oriented, SIL3 certified Simatic WinCC Open Architecture.
    • * Working in a quality controlled environment (ISO9001) to the safety standard BS EN 61508
