Your role
Your role will have multiple responsibilities including:
  • Oversee the team in building and developing solutions to meet project requirements
  • Full line management responsibility of developers in your team

Your role
As a practitioner in Data & Analytics Modernisation, you are responsible for delivering Data on Azure Cloud projects. You are encouraged to devise innovative solutions to help our clients address their biggest data challenges including developing modern analytics platforms. Typical projects could include, developing an azure streaming data ingestion pipeline, developing Scala application, engineering and optimising machine learning models, designing physical data models on object, NoSQL and RDBMS stores, or re-engineering / re-platforming an existing solution.

In your role, you will have responsibility for deliverables and client stakeholder relationships and will be delivering solutions for our clients using agile methodologies. You will often be working in multi-disciplinary teams across a range of industries, subject matters and locations.

Our projects vary greatly and your responsibility as a Consultant will differ based on the focus of the client engagement and your skillset, but could include and may require you to:
  • Work directly with client stakeholders, as a part of a team, to assess the as-is Information Delivery solution and suggest an efficient to-be solution based in Azure IaaS, PaaS and Serverless components

Your professional experience
  • Must have Scala, C++ or Java development experience deploying workload to production
  • Must have either one of the following:

  • Developing physical data models in MongoDB, Cassandra, SQL DWH, CosmosDB, …etc.

Your role
As a practitioner in Data & Analytics Modernisation, you are responsible for delivering Data on Azure Cloud projects. You are encouraged to devise innovative solutions to help our clients address their biggest data challenges including developing modern analytics platforms. Typical projects could include, developing an azure streaming data ingestion pipeline, developing Scala application, engineering and optimising machine learning models, designing physical data models on object, NoSQL and RDBMS stores, or re-engineering / re-platforming an existing solution.

In your role, you will have responsibility for deliverables and client stakeholder relationships and will be delivering solutions for our clients using agile methodologies. You will often be working in multi-disciplinary teams across a range of industries, subject matters and locations.

Our projects vary greatly and your responsibility as a Consultant will differ based on the focus of the client engagement and your skillset, but could include and may require you to:
  • Work directly with client stakeholders, as a part of a team, to assess the as-is Information Delivery solution and suggest an efficient to-be solution based in Azure IaaS, PaaS and Serverless components
  • Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognized for their contribution
  • Investigate and understand trends in open source data technology development, such as Apache projects and the work of leading tech companies such as Facebook and Netflix
  • Assist in the development of our market leading analytics and information management offerings, help produce proposal documents to showcase our capabilities, and contribute to the development of our thriving Information Delivery and Information Management community
  • Contribute to client project delivery and ensure commercially successful conclusion of the client engagements.

You may be involved in:
  • Designing, architecting and implementing components of endâ€"to-end next generation data solutions for our clients for their data and analytics needs.
  • Contributing to the solution architecture of an operational information delivery or analytics solution
  • Contributing to the designing of an enterprise data lake to cater to a client’s data storage needs for structured and unstructured data, to enable analytics across global clients
  • Developing components of a real-time data solution using streaming ingestion and deliver real time analytics, to help our clients respond to customer behaviour as it happens
  • Developing components of a cloud based Information Delivery platform which allows our clients’ apps to talk to each other, enabling real-time insight from the movement of data between their technology components
  • Assisting our clients to modernize their data warehouse to achieve scalable analytics
  • Cleansing and transformation of data using Azure Databricks analytics platform.

Your professional experience
  • Must have Scala, C++ or Java development experience deploying workload to production
  • Must have either one of the following:
  • Azure Developer Associate, or
  • Azure Data Engineer Associate, or
  • Similar certification
  • Ability to demonstrate stakeholder management skills and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Candidates must have experience in Azure Data Platforms involving some or all of the following areas:

  • Architecting, designing and implementing a data warehouse on Azure using Azure HDInsight, Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Databricks, Cosmos DB, SQL Server, SQL DWH, Analytics Service, Event Hubs, KeyVault and other Azure services.
  • Designing, orchestrating and implementing highly performant, scalable and re-usable data ingestion and transformation pipelines across Azure components and services.
  • Designing and implementing Event based and streaming data ingestion and processing using Azure PaaS services.
  • Data ingestion, data engineering and/or data curation using native Azure services or tools available in Azure Marketplace.
  • Designing and implementing data governance, data cataloguing and data lineage solutions using tools such as Azure Data Catalog, Informatica Data Catalog, Talend Data Catalog, IBM Information Governance Catalog.
  • Developing physical data models in MongoDB, Cassandra, SQL DWH, CosmosDB, …etc.
  • Developing GraphQL end-points/APIs
  • Have worked in agile delivery teams with DevOps ways of working to continuously deliver iterative deployments with experience in using Jira, Git Repositories, Confluence, or similar
  • Have had experience in data migration activities in the past including migration strategy and approach, source and target system discovery, analysis, mapping, development and reconciliation

  • Managing and maintaining automation QA framework and regression scripts
  • Continual improvement and ad-hoc test team activities as required

You'll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what's being developed. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

Technical Skills:
  • Experience in Core Java, J2EE frameworks
  • Strong fundamentals in data structures, caching, multithreading, messaging and asynchronous communication
  • Strong knowledge of Internet technologies including REST and/or Web Services/SOA
  • Strong knowledge of RDBMS/SQL (Esp. Oracle, PLSQL)
  • Java Frameworks (Spring, Hibernate); JMS, Junit, Test driven development.
  • Must be comfortable with industry standard build/Development tools including: Maven, Ant, Jenkins, Eclipse, IntelliJ
  • Continuous Integration and automated deployment experience for multi-branched, multi-module projects.
  • HTML5/ JavaScript frameworks like Angular JS and related build technologies a plus
  • Familiarity with Linux and knowledge of command line
  • Strong analytical mind and approach to problem solving
  • Git / Subversion source control
  • No-SQL DB experience a plus
