Working in the product team reporting to the E2E Test Manager the role is focused on the coordination, and E2E product integration testing of deliveries from different product groups. The objective is to ensure these products integrate and work together successfully within an audience service. The role combines planning and analysis with the practical execution of tests, and subsequent data analysis, to meet the needs of the role.

Role
  • Coordinating the development and deliveries from audience product lines, via product managers, to ensure there is a viable overall product solution (metering, reference and matching, Atria editing and validation)
  • Specific focus initially on our Peoplemeter 7 development to ensure the different product deliveries integrate and work together to produce the expected functionality.
  • Understand roadmaps and deliverables from across the product areas and coordinate how these combine together to deliver features and understand timelines for delivery of these integrated features.
  • Coordinate meetings and communications between the product managers to ensure there is a shared view on architecture and a focus on ensuring the sum of the parts will deliver E2E
  • Understand what testing has taken place on individual products and examine the outcome of the testing with a view to identifying potential problems before integration testing.
  • Plan with the product managers how E2E testing of the multiple products that combine to deliver the solution can take place
  • Produce plans for testing and coordinate with testers to implement these tests
  • Carry out 'hands on' testing and data evaluation to ensure that the products integrate together and deliver the expected functionality
  • Management and coordination with IT teams to ensure infrastructure perspective we have the ability to test E2E
  • Support local markets by testing solution before delivery
  • Capability to use tools, interfaces and files to facilitate detailed testing
  • This role is not a substitute for engineering and IT testing - this role is ensuing that the products integrate and that key functionality works across products. The individual products themselves should already have been tested and demonstrated to work.
  • Not a substitute for testing by service operational teams in their own particular environment. However this role ensures product integration testing has taken place so that we can be sure the products work together before progressing to this stage.
Key Skills
  • Capable communicator able to understand complex technical detail and the 'big picture' or what the system needs to deliver.
  • Comfortable working in a matrix team environment and able to influence and achieve results
  • Able to make use of appropriate tools (e.g. Excel, Powerpoint, Confluence etc) to communicate status and architecture, and record outcomes.
  • Understanding of metered audience measurement architecture and data at a detailed level
  • Technical skills to run testing - comfortable logging on to Linux systems to interrogate files and in using Hive and Oracle databases to look at information
  • Experience of testing on a Microsoft Azure environment
