ITap Group Developer Vacancy - Full Stack Engineer

ITAP Group is both a successful online media business and digital payments firm at an exciting growth phase. 

We are looking for a very keen full stack developer who is willing to learn in a fast-paced environment in a close knit team with shared responsibility for the company’s goals. 

The full stack developer carries responsibility working on a large range of projects for the parent company. The in house sites have over 100,000 unique users per month.

The growth forecasts behind the platform over the coming year mean there will be plenty of greenfield and growth work. The stack is comprised of:

Node.js, React, MongoDB, TypeScript, Meteor, NativeScript, Angular

The firm has an established reputation in the market and a unique product. The internet is our business so we like to keep on top of the latest technology in terms of both UI and ecommerce. You will be working on a high demand website and have a key role with the Managing Director’s ear. There will certainly be exposure to API development, as well as front end work using React.

The successful candidate also has the chance to transition between web and mobile app development.

Required, desirable and nice to have skills and exposure (the below also gives you an idea of stack):

Required:

  • Good knowledge of Node.js
  • Good knowledge of React
  • HTML / CSS / SASS
  • TypeScript (should also be comfortable with vanilla JavaScript)
  • Working knowledge of MongoDB (or a similar NoSQL document database)
  • Comfortable with Linux (daily usage and system administration)

Desirable:

  • Exposure to Meteor.js
  • GraphQL (Apollo)
  • MySQL
  • Exposure to NativeScript or React Native
  • Angular (v4+)

Nice to have

  • PHP
  • AngularJS (1.x)

Ideally we are looking for a bright junior to mid-level developer with good fundamentals in software development and the ability to learn fast.

You must be hands on and have strong experience in the stack but not always in time served. You will also be a techie motivated by technology. In return you will be rewarded both financially and in other ways by a business that prides itself on delivery and family attitudes.

Once up to speed, the successful candidate will carry responsibility over an area of the business and work with other members of the company to achieve its objectives. This will involve bringing new ideas to the table and and carrying them through to successful implementation, then maintaining and improving them based on user interaction.

As part this, we're hiring a Front End Developer (X 2) to work on large roadmap of new feature development on their marketplace app and help to create an end-to-end Design Project Management tool. The position joins one of two cross-functional engineering teams alongside a tech lead, 4 engineers, Product Designer and Product Manager.

The stack here is React on the client and a Python Django backend with all infrastructure fully automated as code using Terraform onto AWS. The team here is diverse and highly capable. Engineers are trusted to drive technology selection and architecture, handling their own testing and owning their own code all the way to production.

  • Experience creating SPAs with a modern framework (React, Svelte, Angular, Vue)
