Do your projects deliver on time and on budget, and achieve their business benefits? Are you looking for an opportunity to make a real and lasting difference to an organisation that matters to people's lives? If so, our Senior Project Manager role could be your chance to shine.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager (Corporate) to join with our Programme Manager to create our new Business Transformation Team.

Educated to degree level and with hands-on experience of delivering major projects in a complex organisational setting, you'll be Prince 2 or APM qualified, and keen to play a hands-on role in transforming RDC and making us the best small Council in the country.

One of our roles will focus on the implementation of technology projects, and we have an ambitious programme ahead. With significant experience in the planning and management of IT implementation, you'll have credibility to operate across both technical and corporate sides of the business, and the creativity to find practical solutions to meet business needs.

The other role will focus on our corporate projects, and help us take our development plans to the next level. Again, you will have significant experience in all aspects of project management, including the delivery of strategic corporate projects that cut across departmental boundaries and require the management of multiple stakeholders.

For both roles we are looking for:

  • High levels of personal drive and a self-starting approach
  • The ability to plan and lead a project from start-up right through to completion, in line with the corporate framework
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A passion for business transformation and achieving tangible results, both for the organisation, and the citizens that Ryedale District Council serves

In return we offer a fantastic opportunity to make your mark in an organisation that has a real impact on the lives of more than 50,000 people, and really influence the direction and achievements of the organisation as it modernises and transforms. You'll also enjoy the positive working environment, flexible working arrangements, employee benefits and free on-site parking.
