2nd / 3rd Line Support Analyst, Application Support, Linux, Windows, Scripting, SQL.

The minimum required skills are:

Excellent knowledge of Windows Desktop / Server and Linux including Builds, Installs and Troubleshooting with at least 2+ years Scripting and some knowledge of Databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase)

Candidates with the right core Technical skills and NO previous Financial experience will be considered offering a superb opportunity to gain some invaluable Financial / Banking experience.

Preferred candidates will have some Trade Floor Support - supporting Financial Trading Applications / Market Data Systems in a mixed Linux (any of RedHat, Debian, Ubuntu, CENTOS, SuSE, Solaris) and Windows environment.

Ideal candidates will have strong Linux Systems Administration (4/5+ years) with at least 3 years Scripting … Python, Bash, Perl, R … along with a strong understanding of Database Architecture - SQL Server / Oracle and some experience of FIX connectivity / Client On-boarding and troubleshooting.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent Knowledge of Windows Desktop - 7/8/10.
  • Windows Server / Active Directory - 2008/12/16.
  • Strong Linux System Administration - Any Of: RedHat, Ubuntu, CENTOS, SuSE, Debian.

  • Knowledge of at least one of the ISV’s products - Fidessa, Trading Technologies, Stellar, ULLink, WebICE, Object Trading, ION / Patsystems, Trayport.
  • Exchange Connectivity - ICE / LIFFE, Eurex, CME / CBOT, Xetra, Chi-X, LME, LSE, NYSE.
  • FIX Connectivity - Client On-boarding, Support / Troubleshooting of FIX Logs / Connections.
  • Other Market Data - Reuters, Bloomberg, CQG, Ateo (Teo and Lisa).
