The Security Engineer will be working on data centre migration using Checkpoint, F5 and Cisco networking products.

We are looking for a highly motivated DBA Application Administrator, a result driven engineer as a key aide to both the DBA team and Development teams to support existing systems and responsible for administering our RDBMS Platforms in Linux environments.

· Provide Oracle/PostGres design recommendations / requirements / risk assessment for new development changes and projects

· Provision product specific database software, configure it, manage service acceptance stage for new databases which are required for new development or upgrade activities

· Provide UAT/PROD specific data required during implementation stage for planned application database releases

· Review change requests produced by development team. Check and validate that the change is appropriate for the regional instance, add necessary pre-requisite conditions if such required.

· Transactional database archiving / log shipping

· Provide Oracle/PostGres related product support, investigations and guidance

· Extract and provide data from UAT/PROD environments that is required for 3rd line support

· Provide optimization proposals based on application DB monitoring.

· Support disaster recovery (DR) when required

· Provide appropriate advice, information and context regarding SLA failure.

  • Knowledge and understanding of Oracle/PostGres - tables, views, constraints, keys, indexes, stored procedures, functions, triggers, permissions (logins, users, roles), server objects
