They’re looking for an AWS DevOps Engineer to join an experienced team of exceptionally experienced DevOps engineers. This team is conducting DevOps as it should be and working directly with software development teams.

You will be joining their agile cross-functional team, comprising of Development, QA, UX Design and Product Management. Your new role will be responsible for designing and implementing technical solutions for new and existing products, almost exclusively on the AWS platform. You will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, solid communication skills, a desire to tackle the complex problems and a genuine passion for technology.

Ideally someone will come from an Infrastructure background, however you will need to be comfortable with writing scripts and basic software code to enhance and streamline responsibilities.

We are looking for a mix of experience, you don’t need to have everything, but you will need experience in several areas:

  • Senior technical infrastructure skills across servers, storage and networks
  • Strong AWS experience
  • Experience with programming and scripting in a server and/or web environment
  • Experience in designing and implementing simple solutions to tricky problems
  • Experience with application automation
  • Understanding of microservice based architectures
  • Experience with maintaining and supporting large scale customer facing environments
  • Experience with implementing containerised workloads
  • Good understanding of key web environments and protocols
  • Good networking experience with at least basic understanding of IP, network traffic flow, network ports and protocols (e.g. http, https, smtp, ftp)
  • Comfortable with using Windows and Linux command line tools for administration tasks
  • Good knowledge of security as it relates to cloud-based infrastructure
  • Experience with Scrum methodology
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills

Skills & experience that would be highly desirable

THE ROLE

YOUR EXPERIENCE

- Degree, HND or equivalent in an IT related subject
- Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite
- Experience using Sage systems or similar MRP packages
- Experience of: Windows Server 2012, mobile device management, VPN, Active Directory, SQL Server, Web Based Tracking Systems, EDI Data Transfer, telephone systems and wireless networking
- Personality wise, you must carry excellent communication skills, be highly organised, enjoy solving problems and be able to use your own initiative.

THE SALARY
This role comes with a salary of up to £30,000 per annum.

THE CONTRACT
This is a permanent, full time role. You will work from 8.00am until 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and from 8.00am until 3.30pm on a Friday.

THE ROLE

As IT Systems Administrator, you will take responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of all computer equipment, together with the implementation of any new systems, hardware and software required in a cost effective and efficient manner. You will also support staff with the implementation and management of systems data.
This is a stand-alone role, whereby you will be responsible for the IT Management across the site. Therefore, you must be able to effectively communicate with other managers and employees, providing them with ongoing support.
As an excellent problem solver with a highly organised approach and an ability to meet tight deadlines, your key responsibilities will include:

- Providing support for the network administration, network support and end user support
- Identifying software/hardware specification analysis and business needs analysis
- Ensuring in-house programming, testing, implementation and support is provided in a friendly and courteous manner
