Infrastructure Architect, Manchester City Centre, £75k
Life, it's full of ceilings and I don't just MEAN in the office or at home.
You could be forgiven for not feeling there is enough of a chance to move up the chain from being an Infrastructure Engineer to be a manager or an Architect.
With opportunities sometimes few and far between, why not take an opportunity to become a Infrastructure Architect with leadership responsibility?
Allow yourself to stay hands on but split your time between that and management. It gives you all the opportunity to learn and gain management experience while keeping your hands busy.
While keeping your hands busy is enough for some people, others want to make sure that you are at the very least working with up to date technology. Not Windows Server 2012, trying to squeeze that remaining capacity.
That's why with over £20m invested into the business and millions spent on infrastructure this 24/7 ecommerce platform is at the front of today's technology standards and tools.
You will be helping lead the server team and designing and architecting solutions providing knowledge, expertise and will do so while working with Windows Server 2016 or later (AD/ DNS/DHCP/Clustering/IIS), Centos based Linux OS, VMware NSX/ Nutanix, Kubernetes, Terraform/Ansible and monitoring tools such as Zabbix/Solarwinds/Nagios.
Having recruited over 100+ people in the last 3 years you will join a company that knows how to onboard people into the business, help you settle into the role and allow you to perform at your best.
But when you fancy a break you have a living room style breakout area with a PS4 and dart board to chillout, or even when you are feeling a bit peckish you can join in the monthly lunches or team events that go on across the company.
Outside of work you have free range to use your 25 days holiday, flexitime for family commitments.
