IT Service Desk Analyst, UK

Due to expanding workloads owing to continuing growth as part of SLR’s ongoing ambitious global expansion plans, we are looking to appoint a service desk analyst to support the work of the European IT team from the company’s Bradford On Avon based office; supporting SLR’s European team of over 430 Environmental, Advisory and Engineering Consultants.

The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and respected global multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy, supporting the company’s staff with technical hardware and software issues. The successful candidate will show an enthusiastic approach to problem solving an array of first line support cases.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be required to assist the team with various project related tasks, which will involve working outside of core office hours.
This is an internal support role and we are seeking a confident and outgoing individual that is happy to speak to our staff in person or over the phone and that has the potential to learn and grow into our small European based team but also be part of a growing move to a global service desk platform.

PERSON SPEC – SUMMARY

Candidates should be able to demonstrate:

  • Demonstrable relevant experience in a similar service desk environment/helpdesk role
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system, Office suite, Android Operating System and Sophos Antivirus would be advantageous
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal staff and external partners/suppliers
  • Competent problem solving skills, and the ability to take ownership of a task and ensure all tasks are seen through to a successful resolution
  • A genuine interest in developing their career within IT
