Job Description
Octopus Labs is looking to hire a talented PHP developer to help develop our FinTech platforms. Reporting to the Team Lead with guidance and collaboration from the Tech Lead within your team, you will be working with a team of talented developers to build and support cloud based API's. We work within a Microservices architecture and you will be building out components that that are integral to the processing of our financial data.

We are passionate about agile delivery so you will be working alongside designers, testers, product owners and DevOps engineers in SCRUM teams. We develop iteratively and deliver continuously. We work in a DevOps environment and you will be expected to automate wherever you see the opportunity.

Responsibilities:
  • Working closely with the Tech Lead to ensure development meets the business requirements and roadmaps

Qualifications
  • Working closely with the Tech Lead you will ensure development adheres to the approved architectural standards of the company
  • You will have experience with PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony) and Typescript.
  • You have been building microservices, and know the challenges of API led development

  • Domain knowledge of front-office trading - pricing and execution platforms for Derivatives products - FX Options, Rates and Commodities

  • Back-office and Middle-office experience will be a plus

Graduate Developer - React - FinTech - Electronic Trading Systems - London. Graduates or Developer’s with commercial experience will be considered! This role will be split between React (80%) and Java (20%). A very exciting FinTech organisation who provide real-time, low-latency systems are urgently requiring a Graduate Developer for their London office. The Graduate Developer will get fantastic exposure to developing the companies three market-leading applications for their global client base which consists of Tier 1 Investment Banks.

The Graduate Developer will be responsible for;

  • Developing new user-facing features using React and Java
  • Writing effective APIs to interface with UI components
  • Creating designs/wireframes and translating these into high quality code
