I'm working with a Software company to find a strong DevOps Engineer to lead their transition into DevOps automation and cloud platforms utilising IaC. The role is based in Cheltenham, and will be working on an exciting greenfield project to be rolled out globally.

The DevOps engineer will be responsible for:
  • Driving efficiency and improve customer experience
  • IaC delivery to ensure consistency across Platforms.
  • Ensure no downtime and sustainability of system performance.
  • Build new servers and maintain current
  • Support automation activities through infrastructure
In order to be considered you'll need experience with:
  • Full software development
  • Java, C#, Powershell or Python coding experience
  • VMWare and virtualisation
  • Ansible, chef, Puppet
  • Ideally Azure or AWS
In addition to the £55,000 DOE salary, the company offers a 6% pension, training and development plans and budget, 25 days leave and flexible working

Your day to day responsibilities will include:
 
  • Changes requested on existing client setups & products
  • Contribute in streamlining the product set up and maintenance process (tools and techniques) including the automation of changes and liaise with the relevant development teams
  • Document new processes, new tools and new functionality. Train other team members on these where required.
  • Change Management (writing change procedure for deploying to the production environment). Scripting (shell/SQL) to deploy changes onto Unix/oracle environment.
  • Provide work effort estimates for new Projects and Change Requests
  • Review and refine changes to ensure accuracy and minimise all possible risk
  • Provide out of hours support on a rota basis for team changes
 
You will have the following skills:
 
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL – ability to develop complex SQL queries
  • Windows scripting knowledge or programming languages (Java, HTML, XML).
  • Experience of Windows server and client operating systems.
  • First class communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Server and software diagnostic skills.
  • Logical methodology to problem solving.

We are looking for an experienced Fullstack Developer for one of our leading insurrance clients near Zurich.

You will take part in the Group Finance Department and join a large project, where they want to transform the department to be cloud native.

Work Environment:

  • an excellent working environment, including IntelliJ as the IDE

  • an entire DevOps set-up in Azure DevOps (issue tracking, builds, deployments and artifact management)

  • A project which is public cloud first and will deploy its whole landscape to Microsoft Azure

    You will have the following responsibilities:

  • help design, build and deliver our suite of Spring Boot applications and Angular front-ends

  • adopting DevOps best practices and automating everything from day one

    The most relevant skills you need to bring:

  • strong core Java, especially the Spring Framework (we use Spring Boot)

  • JavaScript competency and experience building front-ends with Angular

  • good working knowledge of data modelling and SQL
