Gobal Helpdesk Technician (24/7 shifts)

The role is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer service and support for dedicated key accounts.

Whilst continuing to support the Helpdesk function, the candidate will also act as first line technical triage for nominated accounts. 

Due to the nature of the Support Services business many of these areas are subject to SLA’s, key performance indicators and balanced scorecard assessments.  Developing and sustaining excellent customer relations whilst ensuring the commercial impact of accounts are upheld, are primary objectives of the role.

  • Provide 1st line support for fault diagnosis and FIX where possible.
  • Collating fault triage for higher line technical support for nominated Clients where initial FIX cannot be obtained
  • Investigate reported faults, assess and advise with service engineers and team for follow up
  • Firmware / software upgrades as required (and approved)
  • Regular review of engineer reports - highlighting actions required to engineer dispatch team
  • Assisting engineers on-site and engineer site call outs, on an ad-hoc basis when limited engineer availability requires extra on-site support, where required.
  • Manufacturer and 3rd party liaison for fault triage and resolution
  • Management and ownership of cases throughout their lifecycle and through to completion
  • Single point of contact to meet communication needs of key Clients
  • Case diagnosis and first line qualification of issues before call out.
  • Ensure cases are restored for service within SLA
  • Central point of contact between International customers and suppliers.
  • Booking of engineering resource / Logistics / Travel / Critical Spares etc.
  • Raising of accurate escalations in a timely manner
  • Booking of preventative maintenance visits
  • Maintain an awareness of, and compliance with, the company’s Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety policies.
  • Raising Client quotations and PO requests as required
  • Supporting the RMA process, raising with Suppliers where required
