“Sorry, that we can’t check you in just yet as the server is down at the moment”

Probably not what you want to hear when you’ve travelled miles to a stunning hotel for a peaceful weekend break, is it? The reception team haven’t got a clue how to FIX it and everything starts spiralling.

When you go away you expect things to be running smoothly. You don’t factor in real-life problems or situations out of people’s control. A lot is out of the remit of the wider hotel team, so they will rely on you and your department to have everything back up and running as quickly as possible.

It saves them the hassle, the guests time, and you the worry of someone doing something they shouldn’t to try and help.

Software has become an integral part in enhancing the customer experience across all sectors, and hospitality is no exception.

This is where you come in.

Your experience of configuring EPOS and/or PMS systems, specifically Rezlynx (Guestline), is a must. If you have a sound knowledge of IT systems, Microsoft tools and telephony application maintenance, this will be a distinct advantage. By the way this position is for a 12 month FTC.

Not everyone is savvy when it comes to IT, so you’ll need to be patient and understanding, two great traits to hold. You’ll be able to translate technical jargon into easily understood and simple language, to get everyone from A to B as quickly as possible.

Got an ITIL Foundation qualification? Great news if you have, but if you haven’t don’t panic, it’s not an absolute must.

You’ll get a salary of between £18,000 and £22,000, so if that suits your expectations then I’d love to talk to you.

If you haven’t got an up to date CV, don’t worry, you can just send me what you do have ((url removed)) or get in touch another way – I know not everyone has one to hand.

My number is on our site, along with LinkedIn details to connect (Adam Williams).

Every applicant will receive a response.
