The Client

My client is an award-winning company providing car insurance to over half a million customers in the UK. Due to growth, they are looking to hire a BI Developer into their data team to provide expert knowledge on visualisation tools, data structures and report outputs.

As a BI Developer, you will be responsible for:

  • Provide the company with expertise in using and developing the reporting data structures
  • Develop and maintain the reporting data structures and outputs
  • Develop technical visualisation designs to enable efficient data delivery to be consumed by the business
  • Work effectively within the BI governance and Data Quality Framework
  • Create and update technical documentation and follow business processes
  • Work closely with BI BAs and engage directly with the business when needed for requirements gathering
  • Become the data visualisation experts for the business in Tableau
  • Develop the Enterprise Data Warehouse and associated marts
  • Identify and feedback any potential improvements to new and existing reporting BI solutions
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and engage effectively with third party providers
  • Develop and maintain data quality monitoring and reconciliation dashboards
  • Any other reasonable duties as required

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Good development experience using Tableau (suite of products)
  • Experience of reporting data structures and design and data visualisation
  • Understanding of data warehouse structures
  • Desirable experience/ understanding of Microsoft BI Stack (SSAS, SSIS) and SQL Server 2012
  • Able to work in a structured/agile development environment

Role:

• Manage relations with my client’s Professional Services customers and assist in sales engagement with prospects
