  • Supporting system testing to ensure robust product implementation.
  • Business process and procedure definition to incorporate new functionality and ways of working into the current business processes.
  • Business change management working cross functionally to provide support during the implementation
  • To become an expert system user with ability to support training deployment and support users through the system change.
  • Definition and deployment of planning and forecasting guidance associated with the new way of working.
  • Re-planning of clinical studies that are in the current system into the new system. (To enable interface connections and the new business process)
  • First line support for user issue resolution and support during implementation

Digital Business Analyst 6-month Fixed Term contract vacancy in Birmingham
£65000 6-month contract plus generous benefits

Hays IT are working partnership with a public sector organisation to recruit a Digital Business Analyst on 6 month fixed term contract basis.

The primary purpose of this role is to support the delivery of the second phase of a bespoke application. On a day to day basis, the successful candidate will be:

* Conducting analysis and leading work to shape an initial idea into a viable project.
* Developing using stories and acceptance criteria.
* Lead key agile ceremonies including daily stand up, sprint planning, refinement and estimation.
* Support the transition of business requirements to solution and effective handover to BAU.

Key Role Responsibilities:

* Support the development of the second phase of the App as well as existing product BAU backlog
* Analyse and understand stakeholder objectives and business drivers;
* Create a shared vision with and amongst the stakeholder group;
* Elicit and evaluate requirements to ensure they are fit for purpose, challenging positively as appropriate and setting stakeholder expectations on any gaps identified;
* Obtain formal agreement from stakeholders on scope and requirement prioritisation to establish a baseline;
* Document requirements effectively ensuring traceability back to source and where appropriate, document existing and future business processes;
* Present information to sponsors, stakeholders and teams to enable them to manage and visualise outcomes;
* Support the transition of business requirements to solution e.g. prototypes, wireframes, proof of concept, solution documents etc
* Contribute to project planning including sprint stand up's refinements, planning workshops
* Work with end users, testers and stakeholders in defining acceptance criteria and tests. Ensure traceability from requirements to tests;
* Support training and transition to BAU, identifying the impact on business requirements of interim (e.g. migration) scenarios as well as the required end position;

In order to apply for the role, you must have the following skills and experience:

* Previous experience in a Business Analyst role and end to end project experience
* Working within agile environment with a development team
* Developing acceptance criteria in Gherkin script (desirable)
* Familiarity with techniques which help in modelling and understanding a business and its operation including process modelling and gap analysis
* Conducting stakeholder analysis and mapping
* Eliciting, prioritising and documentation of requirements including MoSCoW, uses cases and user stories and facilitating workshops
* Experience in agile techniques such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, scrum master, sprint estimation,
* Supported the creation of test scripts, scenario and cases including facilitating testing
* Experience in creating a proof of concept, wireframes or prototyping exercise to demonstrate or evaluate the feasibility and potential benefits of applying a technology, product or toolset to meet a business need
