I am currently recruiting for a Consultant Engineer with SDN/NFV to join our client for a 12 month assignment. You will be working across the delivery lifecycle from design, implementation and delivery, getting hands-on with SDN, Overlay and Underlay technologies.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver SDN/NFV solutions into the Key customer’s environment.
  • Follow the client engagement and delivery processes, working closely with key stakeholders.
  • On-site delivery of services including the review or co-creation of high level and detailed design documentation, migration planning, product integration and acceptance, operations guidelines.


What you'll need to succeed

Technical Skills Needed

  • Contrail Networking (in combination with Canonical OpenStack), networking (IP Fabric based on QFX/MX), preferably VNFs (vFW, vEPC).

  • Other OpenStack (Redhat / Mirantis / or other).

  • Contrail Service Orchestration (or other Orchestration), Ubuntu/RHEL, KVM, Hypervisors, Containers, Docker and other Juniper Networks products including vMX, vSRX, vQFX, NFX.

  • Knowledge of underlay/overlay and IP networking and routing protocols.

  • Linux, Scripting (e.g. Perl, Python), Network Monitoring and OSS/BSS/IT integration.

  • Advantageous- VMware vCenter/NSX, MPLSoGRE, VXLAN, RESTful APIs, Icinga, Junos (awareness not expertise), SLAX/Junos Automation, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Cobbler.

A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy is looking for an experienced, Security Cleared (desirable) Third Line Oracle Database Administrator who will join our team supporting their major customers. The role will be based in their Nottingham office for a 3 month contact initially, to start in January.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience providing specialised DBA support across Oracle database platforms, excellent troubleshooting skills and demonstrate the ability to make key technical decisions independently, demonstrate excellent communication skills, both face to face and on the telephone, whilst also having the ability to assess and prioritise tasks without close supervision.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
As a 3rd Line Oracle DBA, you will be responsible for providing technical support for all in scope Oracle database environments in line with the organisation's established policies and procedures, including new installations and upgrades.
Support defining, implementing and managing our customers Oracle database environments in line with architectural standards.
Assist developers and other DBAs, including within the customer organisations, with developments, implementations, upgrades and ongoing maintenance of the database environments.
Customer engagement will be key, establish and maintain good relationships with the customer organisation, and the various service delivery teams

Designing, developing and deploying of Oracle technologies on Windows, Unix, Linux and Virtual Platforms across development, test and production systems
