The IT Business Senior Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex projects and foster communication between business leaders and IT
  • Consult with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems and industry standards and recommends solutions
  • Support system change processes from requirements through implementation and provide input based on analysis of information
  • Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and provides user and operational support

  • Act as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts and work as a team to achieve business objectives, performing other duties and functions as assigned
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in data analysis with intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out detailed data analysis on Fixed Income Derivatives trades, identifying any inconsistencies and working to have these addressed.  This includes querying complex databases and proactively reaching out to upstream & downstream systems as needed.

  • Work with Middle Office and other business teams to define detailed system requirements for Regulatory changes, especially those relating to MiFID II. 

  • Work with global development and QA teams to ensure a successful and timely implementation of Regulatory and Data-related changes, contributing throughout the full software development release cycle (SDLC)

  • Track change requests and code enhancements to a successful conclusion, liaising with other teams as needed.

  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing and process improvement initiatives across the wider team

Our great client in Chessington who has a global customer base is looking to strengthen their IT department.

On a day to day basis you will handle a variety of 1 st to 3 rd level customer/user support requests and aid troubleshooting issues. These issues may relate to their products, or products they sell, and include the integration into a variety of complex IT networks.

This role will also include a level of responsibility whereby you will need to help research new products or solutions that can help better their MSP offering.

Although the position is primarily based at their offices in Surrey, you will be required to travel worldwide. If you are a team player, but also good at working on your own initiative and would enjoy an exciting varied role, then start your career in the ever-evolving world of IT solutions.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong experience working within an IT role - Ideally a previous role within a SD or MSP.
  • Windows Server (2008 - 2019) and Windows XP - 10
  • Automation using PowerShell/VB
  • Microsoft Exchange Server (2010-2019)
  • VMware & Microsoft Hyper-V
  • HP/Dell/Starwind/FreeNAS physical or virtual storage solution experience
  • Solid understanding of UTM and Firewall products and their roles within the network. Kerio/pfSense/Sophos/Stormshield
  • Networking skills, including TCP/IP (IPv4) settings, IP and Subnet mask address schemes, VLANs, Routing, Firewalling and port forwarding.

We are on the lookout for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team. You have experience with at least one front-end Javascript framework, microservices architecture, and DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes). C# Developer – Birmingham
 
Location – Birmingham City Centre
Salary - £30-40k plus remote working and flexible working hours
 
C#.NET, ASP.Net MVC, RESTful APIs, SQL Server, Full-stack Developer
 
This advanced Software house based in Birmingham city centre are looking to add a C# Developer to their development team. The Full Stack .Net Developer will be joining an established team and work closely with the senior developer and the development Manager to develop solutions for external clients. Ideally, the developer will have a relevant degree and have 2-3 years commercial experience of using C# and ASP.Net, with other skills in RESTful APIs, SQL Server and frontend frameworks. They offer an excellent salary and benefits with the opportunity to work flexible hours /remote working but more importantly the opportunity to work on new Greenfield projects with industry leading developers.
 
Essential skills & experience
  • 2 years plus experience building commercial software and web applications
  • Expert knowledge of C# and ASP.NET MVC
  • Highly proficient with HTML, CSS/Sass
  • Excellent SQL Server skills
  • Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs using JSON
  • High quality standards and attention to detail
  • Positive and flexible attitude to managing time
  • Test-driven mindset, comfortable in continuous integration/delivery DevOps environment
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable working in a small collaborative team
 
Desirable skills
  • Honours Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience with .NET Core
  • Knowledge of SOLID software design principles
  • Experience with state-driven architectures 
  • Experience with microservice architecture/containerisation eg. Docker
  • Used to code reviews, pull requests and design/development guidelines
