Role - Automation Tester

Requirements

  • Developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions.
  • Working with high profile clients on their products.
  • Developing solutions to meet client requirements and demands.
  • Working with designers to achieve client vision for high profile retail sites, maintaining graphic standards and branding throughout the product's interface(s).
  • Working on client website builds in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams and attending project meetings.

Skills

  • Ability to perform functional testing of software and record results in an appropriate, clear and concise format.
  • eCommerce / Retail experience
  • Automation testing.
  • Knowledge of Selenium WebDriver and technologies such as Cucumber, Gherkin, Appium
  • Experience writing test scripts and appropriately detailed test plans based on need, functional specifications and complexity.
  • Thorough knowledge of structured test methods and processes.
  • Experience working within an AGILE environment.
  • Use industry standard tools such as JIRA.
  • Experience in exploratory testing.
  • Knowledge of CI tools.
  • Knowledge of Version Control.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong SQL knowledge and API Testing (SOAP/REST).
  • Experience using practices such as Continuous Delivery, TDD and BDD.
  • Experience with cross-platform testing.

Desirable

  • ISEB / ISTQB certificate in software testing
  • WebSphere Commerce experience

We're looking for a QA Automation Analyst for a Central Government client of ours based in London, this is a 9 month contract paying £300 (outside of IR35).

Essential Skills

  • Extensive understanding and experience of writing and executing functional and non-functional tests for web applications
  • Extensive experience generating test cases/scripts directly from UX/UI design specifications and style guides
  • Extensive experience testing responsively designed web applications across a wide variety of devices (mobile, tablet, desktop), platforms (iOS, Android, Windows etc.) and browsers (IE, Edge, Chrome, Firefox etc.)
  • Extensive experience testing against W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standard for accessibility compliance
  • Experience testing responsive web applications built using the Bootstrap 3/4 framework
  • Working knowledge of using and maintaining test plans and test suites within Microsoft Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps Server
  • Experience testing using a wide variety of tools/techniques, including the use of automated testing
  • Understanding of Continuous Deployment (CD) processes

Desirable Skills

  • Experience using Katalon Studio and Selenium for automated testing
  • Understanding and awareness of coding practices and languages, including HTML5 semantics
