Salary: £40,322 to £49,553 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
We are pleased to announce a new fixed-term opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Information Services team at an unprecedented time of change.
As Senior Project Manager, you will assume responsibility for managing a range of large-scale, strategic IT projects working across a variety of landscapes and stakeholder communities in a continually evolving IT landscape. You will ensure a professional approach at all times, resulting in successful projects that are delivered on schedule, to agreed quality standards and within budget.
You are a capable Senior Project Manager, adept at planning, risk management, dependency management, resource planning and supplier/stakeholder engagement. You have the confidence to challenge requirements and identify appropriate tracking and evaluation activities to ensure projects deliver benefits and meet business need. You can demonstrate your experience of working in delivery-focused environments, promoting best-practice and striving for continuous improvement to enable the successful delivery of technology solutions.
Your background will include proven experience of managing large-scale projects/programmes and complex change activity with a sound understanding of project management methodologies and techniques. You will possess excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to motivate project teams. You will be an effective communicator, able to network and build relationships at all levels with experience of influencing and negotiating high-level stakeholders to achieve project goals.

As the successful candidate, you will have a Degree/professional qualification and track record of work experience in large-scale project/programme management. You will be PRINCE2 Practitioner or hold an equivalent certification with experience of both waterfall and agile project delivery.
This role is available on a fixed term contract for 1 year. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours). Job share arrangements may be considered.
