Presales Solutions Architect
The Presales Software Development Architect (SA) provides technical presales support to the Commercial Team in their pursuit and development of sales opportunities.

This Presales Architect role will be required to work alongside the Sabio development team in the role as architect designing solutions within both the System Integrations and Professional Services areas of solution delivery and the support of the Commercial team, building a strong technical and operational understanding of a number of key targets / accounts, and serving as a primary source of Solution and Service design, consultancy and pricing.

Presales Solutions Architect Responsibilities:

- Act as focal point for new Customer Experience-centric opportunities.
- As a software architect ensure that Sabio custom integration and product set follow modern architecture patterns utilising appropriate development practices and technology. Working with the wider development team to ensure technology adoption.
- Support Sales initiatives by attending meetings with the customer, assisting with assessing and qualifying opportunities, supporting the preparation of customer demos and delivering solution-focused presentations.
- Act as the Commercial Design Authority for specific engagements. Support these engagements with roadmap updates and account plans as appropriate.
- Ensure that all technical input required from the Sales teams for tender and bid responses is provided in a timely manner, coordinating both the technical elements of bid / tender response and the engagement of Solutions Managers to ensure a holistic solution that ensures there are no gaps or overlaps.
- Work with Sabio’s Solutions Architects to support their designs of single multi-technology solution with end-to-end functionality that meets the client’s business requirements
- Conduct technical risk assessments using experience, analysis, simulation and research. Identify major technical risks and issues and recommend mitigation options.

Presales Solutions Architect Requirements:

- Significant proven experience consulting, designing software solutions.
- Experience working within Agile software teams.
- Sound knowledge of development and operation methods related to agile software.
- Deep knowledge of practices and procedures related to the distributed architecture.
- Proficient with both Web front-end such as JavaScript (react) and back-end development with Java.
- Understanding of the operational challenge’s customers face within this arena when engaging on a Customer Experience transformation project.
- An appreciation of the value and impact the Customer Journey / Customer Experience has from a commercial perspective.
- Assessing software and system issues to find solutions to them as per requirements, with ability to design solutions at a conceptual level and detailed level, and define their pricing.
- Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility.
- Understanding of the technical marketplace in which they operate.
- Experience with estimation methodologies and processes, ability to estimate project work, project delivery and overall project costs.

Their infrastructure spans six continents and consists of more than 700 servers as well as third party edge infrastructure. Most of these servers are bare metal, which act as endpoints for speed tests and other measurement traffic. These have very high bandwidth - sometimes 100Gbit/s! Their broader infrastructure uses a mixture of bare metal and cloud-hosted services.
