Ideal candidate will be a system reliability engineer with experience working on various sized projects on a global scale -focusing on work with a splunk environement.

Role:

  • Contributing to the design and building of systems - looking at the operations and automating infrastructure.
  • Hosting platforms & infrastructure design - monotoring and instrumentation
  • Leading best practices to evaluate and secure splunk platform
  • Building new data sources - services/products/systems etc.
  • On boarding new technologies an ensuring high standard usage of current systems
  • Solving automation problems and scaling team operations

Experience:

  • Systems administration skills in platforms such as Linux & Windows

It's an exciting time at Barclays. API Platforms team have been the fastest growing channel over the last 18 – 24 months. This team offers technology and solutions to support the wider bank strategy in moving to an API-first and microservice architecture. As a Java Developer, you will be working on building a cutting edge cloud native, microservice/ServiceMesh based API platform and the pipeline’s for APIs which are deployed into the platform. What will you be doing?

  • You will be participating in agile ceremonies providing story points and estimates for tasks
  • You will be creating APIs based on the SpringBoot technology stack
  • You will be creating test artifacts using Junit and mocking/stubbing technology
  • You will be working with DevOps and Automation Test Engineers to implement complete CI/CD pipelines

What we’re looking for:

  • Java development experience
  • SpringBoot and related spring technology or similar

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Junit or Mockito experience
  • Docker based development
  • AWS experience
