A leading brokerage based in the city is currently looking to build out its Application Support team. This team is responsible for technical support of post trade applications. As an Application Support Engineer (Linux, Windows, Powershell, Financial Services, MS SQL Server, Oracle) you will be responsible for handling all support requests, incidents, problems and business continuity activities. As an Application Support Engineer you will need to take ownership of issues and provide procedural and technical support to various teams.

Daily responsibilities of the Application Support Engineer (Linux, Windows, Powershell, Financial Services, MS SQL Server, Oracle) will include supporting business users by providing 1st / 2nd / 3rd line support, managing the release of new applications, creating and deploying powershell scripts and providing out of hours support.

To be considered for the Application Support role you MUST have the following skill-set:

  • 2+ Yrs. experience working in the financial sector - ideally banking
  • Familiar with general clearing / operational process in settlement of futures trades
  • Solid experience of Windows applications platforms
  • Excellent SQL
  • Familiar with Linux based application platforms
  • Excellent Powershell experience

The successful Electronic Trading Support Analyst will be responsible for the following:
