Successful candidates should have a minimum of one year’s Python experience OR a computer science degree (or equivalent). You should also be familiar with Linux command-line and Subversion or any other SCM (e.g. Git or Mercurial).

Due to our client’s rural location, you should be able to drive and have access to your own car. Alternatively, they offer a shuttle bus service from Guildford train station via Godalming.

The Mortgage CIO is responsible for c£20M Change agenda budget and manages the strategic approach and tactical delivery from inception to live. With around 200 staff the team is responsible for all development and testing and managing the mortgage specific systems. This is a DevOps Manager role for Mortgages that will deliver a step change in Mortgage capability to automate our environments, code management, testing and deployment capabilities. 

What will you be doing?


• You will write the specifications and documentation .
• Utilize CI/CD management and automation tools.
• Work and collaborate with automation services and platform.
• Support with the Scripting and Pipeline design.
• You will support with the Infrastructure Management within the systems.
• Responsibility for Performance assessment.
• Design and Monitoring of solutions.

What we’re looking for:

• Hands on experience in scripting languages – Python / Ruby / Groovy.
• Write scripts and automation using Perl/Python/Groovy/Java/Bash
• Experience bringing Stakeholders on the journey through projects
• Experience in CI /CD management tools eg. Jenkins / TeamCity.

Skills that will help you in the role:


• Hands on experience in programming languages – Java.
• Experience in end-end Pipeline design.
