Based in Stoke-on-Trent, we are seeking to appoint a Senior Application Delivery Engineer, who is responsible for the delivery, administration, maintenance and continual service improvement to the internal line of business services and applications workforce. Focused on maintaining the virtualised applications, along with desktop stack across a wide range of sites within the UK and Globally.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

As an Application Delivery Engineer, you will be planning and delivering complex system upgrades, along with maintain programs. You will be using your skills in Citrix, XenDesktops, PowerShell scripting, Linux, Windows server and LANS to implement common requests, changes and corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement of existing systems and configurations which may contribute to project plans. You will be working with other internal teams, to work towards reaching the business objectives. This role requires exceptional customer service to ensure all customers receive a clear communication and effective resolution of problems.

The successful candidate will provide effective 3rd Line IT support across all aspects of the business to a variety of clients in the United Kingdom. What you will be doing:

You will be expected to have most, if not all of the following experience -

*Good technical knowledge of Virtualisation, Enterprise Storage, MS Windows Server 2012, Networking, Exchange, Active Directory, Windows Network Services.
*Deploying and supporting multi node Microsoft Hyper-V / VMWare clusters
*Experience of project implementations working to deadlines.
*Experience of deploying and maintaining switch infrastructures including Cisco.

If you have any certificates in Microsoft technologies such as MCITP Enterprise or VMware VCP 5, Cisco CCNA/CCNP and Citrix CCA that would be highly advantageous.
